  1. I was unable to attend this meeting, so I wanted to jot down some of my responses to Ken's prompts. Kendi uses anecdotes to introduce the main ideas of each chapter. In doing so he is establishing a connection to events in his life time that have helped him to develop his ideology. This also allows his audience to gain better understanding of the issues affecting our nation and communities.
    Part 2:
Ethnic Racism is this idea that one person is better than another because of his/her origin or, vice versa, that one person is of less worth because of his/her origin. It is perpetuated by stereotypes and racist policies that promote these ideas. Kendi explains that to be an antiracist one must,"view national and transnational ethnic groups as equal in all their differences," in other words we must acknowledge and celebrate these differences instead of highlighting differences in racist policies. We must look for a solution for the inequities between ethnic groups that promote ethnically racist ideas.
